(Junior) Product Designer (UI/UX) (f/m/d)

As a digital hub for the directory brands Das Telefonbuch, Das Örtliche and Gelbe Seiten, we connect people with SMEs, help with the digitalisation of public authorities and companies and also try to bring our know-how and new technologies into our own projects and services.

As a (Junior) Product Designer (UI/UX) you’ll help us in the process of digitalizing directory brands. You'll be at the forefront of designing intuitive UI/UX solutions that not only enhance our platform but also redefine industry standards.

What you’ll be doing

Ship work you’re proud of

  • You support our team in the design of user interfaces in web and app as well as in the further development of comprehensive multi design systems

Identify and drive enhancements

  • Participate in research to understand our users’ challenges first hand, building empathy and deep understanding of their challenges and needs as you improve our experience

Use the full range of product design skills to discover, design and deliver

  • You’ll communicate your vision, designs and ideas through wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mockups, and high fidelity visual designs

Own your impact

  • You’ll actively foster a healthy design culture, shaping our collaborative practices across the company

What you bring

UX / UI

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI designer or in a similar role, or alternatively, a degree in a related field
  • Solid understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and creating UI components
  • Solid understanding of design systems, design documentation, including style guides, token and component libraries, as well as usage guidelines
  • You are keen to contribute your own ideas and implement them together with the team
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and best practices
  • A desire to learn more in this space, you keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies

Tools

  • Advanced skills in industry standard design tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
