Who we are

As a digital hub for directory brands, we connect people with SMEs, help with the digitalisation of public authorities and companies and try to bring our know-how and new technologies into our own projects and services.

As a Motion Designer, you’ll help us tell our story through motion and video — from social-first content to product explainers and brand campaigns. You’ll also take ownership of our social media channels and handle filming as part of the end-to-end creation process.

Your mission

Together with the team, you’ll build a scalable motion system and video content across 3+ brands, creating a consistent motion style, reusable formats, and high-quality content that performs across social channels.

What you’ll be doing

Ship work you’re proud of

  • Create motion and video content end-to-end: concept, storyboard, filming, editing, sound, and final delivery
  • Develop reusable video and motion templates (intros/outros, lower thirds, transitions, social formats) to speed up production
  • Produce social-first assets: reels/shorts, ads, explainers, behind-the-scenes, partner content

Identify and drive enhancements

  • Own and improve our social media presence: content planning, filming reels/shorts, creative testing, and iteration based on performance
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure visuals, copy and narrative work together
  • Maintain a high quality bar: consistency, pacing, audio, accessibility basics (e.g. captions)

Use the full range of motion skills to discover, design and deliver

  • Translate complex ideas into clear stories through motion design, visual metaphors, and editing
  • Support campaigns and launches with video, motion graphics, and social storytelling

Own your impact

  • You’ll actively shape our creative workflows and help the team build repeatable, scalable content processes

What you bring

Motion / Video

  • Several years of experience in motion design and video production (in-house, agency, or freelance)
  • Strong sense of timing, storytelling, composition, and clean motion craft
  • Confidence filming on location (basic setup, lighting, audio) and editing efficiently
  • Ability to handle multiple formats and platforms (TikTok/IG/LinkedIn/YouTube) and adapt quickly

Tools

  • Advanced skills in industry standard design tools, including Figma, Google Workspace, Notion and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bonus: experience with lightweight production gear, templates, and content systems

Team

  • It’s ‘we’ not ‘me’: Our team of motivated and talented individuals is collectively empowered to build extraordinary thing with people from all types of competencies, from Engineers and Product Designers to Marketeers
  • Comfort sharing work early and often, receiving feedback and collaborating openly across functions
  • Fluent in English, German is a Plus: Although the industry requires fluent English, most of our teams and clients are based in Germany

What we offer

  • Inclusive and collaborative workplace culture: Enjoy the freedom to work independently in a setting with flat hierarchies and rapid decision making
  • Flexible work options: You have the autonomy to shape your work schedule, whether you're working remotely, from our office, or even on site with our partners
  • A valid work permit is required: If necessary, we will help you with the process of applying for a Blue Card during your employment
  • A motivated team: Collaborate with a driven group committed to developing innovative solutions for the skilled trades industry
  • Real creative input: Your ideas are not just welcome, they are actively evaluated and pipelined for development
  • Competitive compensation: Benefit from an attractive base salary paired with individualized bonuses tied to key performance indicators

What we’ll need

We’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where people feel respected, supported, and able to do their best work. We hire based on skills, experience, and potential regardless of background.

If this role excites you but you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. Research suggests people from underrepresented groups in particular may be less likely to apply unless they meet every listed requirement.

We’d much rather hear from you and have a conversation, please send over

  • Cover letter and CV
  • A portfolio of well crafted, impactful work that solves real problems for real people
